Intro: If you lie here while I sleep Would you notice if I don't dream Would you tether my body to the bedpost with your heart strings Chorus: Cold stone lies While we awake Slow rise A crack in the sky Your eyes Dried lakes No lies Verse 1: So meet my principal Not interested in principle Just your inner growth Searching for that inner flow Better brighten up More important lighten up They take until their cups runnith over Never good enough Inspiration stimuli Information never lies Lying on the train tracks Feet walk across the sky I’ve been a beggar Had a woman be my savior Homey the only way I'll change Comes direct through my behavior To satisfy is a status lie How can u expect to know what I need just from passing by We enter every conversation through contemplation What can I leave you with More important leave a gift And if the roles reversed Would you feel it when I split Let's split it down the middle One for you One for atom Now let it ride out Integration vibe out Side out wide eyed Idlewyd-ing lie about Chorus: Cold stone lies While we awake Slow rise A crack in the sky Your eyes Dried lakes No lies Verse 2: Gone athlete in the backseat Got that Blackstreet bumpin’ Last we checked We was a-ok-hey now, how ya doing? You decided to run You despise riding shot gun Wonder what it meant well What it meant well When I wonder which hole with the largest bucket F##### If i could spit fire, maybe we'd match Struck it Cut without a leak Thought to make it reach into the filter Not yell on the past Wither till we make dawn Swell it in my grasp gone Repeat but it's all next week Now it's kinda nice here Bright clear At least I hear the radio Blind light Sign strike Sign spike in the night like a flashlight Stone skipped through the surface Bone picked, slicked, picked-picked make it worship 3rd eye can't observe it Impervious to slights Fly this kite Bare-fist Bare-hug Kiss Make up Wake certain But I bare this burden Shake up Playfight like I'm Durden Cybal Dribble-dribble pass Scribble on the pavement Guess it's downhill When the wave went by Aloha I know now I don't own her I'm a ranger, lone star Thought I only needed one bar Chorus: Cold stone lies While we awake Slow rise A crack in the sky Your eyes Dried lakes No lies

Warm In The Light by Vokab Kompany & 9 Theory Rob Verse 1: 8 years getting close to a decade Use to cook ya grilled cheese and a lemonade Member days in December at the casa It was you, me, G and our mama (and E) At the time might of thought I was a little tough I tried to hold you in the snow, make you give up But oh no not you You were way to cool We called you B Bee like a bumble C how we sting When our wings gave us trouble But it was fun when we flew Run, run me and you ‘Till the breeze felt new And it was fun with the crew We used to play Kung Fu and break fake bamboo New shoes every Easter so we looked rich Old clothes so the mama gave a new stitch Burke Verse 2: We growing up, big schemes Watching as the jet skis Intermesh with our jet streams I’ll let you know that the best dreams Be the stress free Type of best me And a belly full of hope And I ain’t gotta use a telescope To calculate the message And tell you what you need to grow Between your past and your present Is that you shouldn’t waste a second To forgive your transgressions, listen Took a lot of burning bridges And kicking in the doors ‘till they swingin’ on the hinges And roof top singing for bringin’ in a new day Watch the sun rise high over crystal bay Burkey Bridge: And it seems like the time we all got high Summertime Tahoe, 4th of July We all got a reason for the things we do 9 Theory Chorus (repeat x2): Don’t be the one Not having fun When there’s a sun burning bright It’s warm in the light Turn it around Stop looking down from such incredible heights It’s warm in the light Rob Verse 3: Truth is you were born with a good life Hard to know which friends would be worth while Just kids trying to find another planet Who'd a thought that cha find another habit Back then it was nothing but a little fun That all changed when you found that prescription Can't understand you could love it more than us But then again it was something that I never touched A soft high in the clutch there was no plan Went from pills, to a pipe, to a spoon man Truth stands in the back 'till it's called up Until then all your talks just stuff God damn man hoping that you'll catch a clue But me and you will see it through, never make do We had a view of the world baby all smiles Just a child and you're forever worthwhile 9 Theory Chorus (repeat x2): Don’t be the one Not having fun When there’s a sun burning bright It’s warm in the light Turn it around Stop looking down from such incredible heights It’s warm in the light

about

Beneath the Shallow is a 2-song collaboration with our good friend and producer 9 Theory, who we have wanted to work with for some time. This EP is a direct response to the vibe and superficiality that can often permeate the mainstream festival circuit, particularly throughout the last decade and the rise of EDM. The EP tackles the intense and all too human issues of depression and drug abuse, but in a beautiful, raw, deep and touching way.
